Arrival in Arusha & Transfer to Tarangire National Park

  • Arrival in Tanzania: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport.
  • Meet & Greet: Your professional guide will meet you at the airport.
  • Drive to Tarangire: Travel to Tarangire National Park (2-3 hours drive).
  • Afternoon Game Drive in Tarangire: Upon arrival, embark on an afternoon game drive in Tarangire. Known for its large herds of elephants, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife, you’ll have a chance to see giraffes, lions, zebras, and wildebeest.
  • Overnight: Stay in a lodge or luxury tented camp inside or near the park.

Full Day in Tarangire National Park

  • Morning Game Drive: After breakfast, go on a morning game drive to see more wildlife in the park. Tarangire is known for its exceptional birdlife as well, including the vibrant yellow-collared lovebird and bustards.
  • Picnic Lunch: Enjoy a packed lunch in the park, soaking up the beautiful surroundings.
  • Afternoon Game Drive: Continue exploring the park in the afternoon. Tarangire is often less crowded than other parks, giving you a more intimate safari experience.
  • Overnight: Return to your lodge or tented camp for the evening.

Drive to Serengeti National Park

  • Breakfast & Departure: After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti National Park (approximately 4–5 hours drive).
  • Stop at Olduvai Gorge: En route, stop at Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site where some of the earliest human fossils were found.
  • Lunch: Stop for lunch at a lodge or camp within Serengeti.
  • Afternoon Game Drive in Serengeti: Arrive in the Serengeti and head out for an afternoon game drive. The Serengeti is one of the most famous safari destinations in the world, known for its vast plains and abundant wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants.
  • Overnight: Stay in a lodge or luxury tented camp in the Seronera Valley, a prime area for wildlife sightings.

Full Day in Serengeti National Park

  • Morning Game Drive: Wake up early for a morning game drive in Serengeti to catch the wildlife action at the start of the day. You may see predators on the hunt or herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing.
  • Picnic Lunch: Stop for lunch at a scenic location within the park.
  • Afternoon Game Drive: Continue exploring the Serengeti. Depending on the season, you might witness the Great Migration of wildebeests and zebras moving across the plains.
  • Overnight: Return to your lodge or tented camp in Serengeti for the night.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

  • Breakfast & Departure: After breakfast, drive from Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater (approximately 3–4 hours).
  • Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater: Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater, known as the “Garden of Eden” for its rich wildlife population and stunning views. Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive. The crater floor is home to a variety of animals, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, and rhinos.
  • Picnic Lunch: Enjoy lunch on the crater floor or at one of the scenic picnic spots.
  • Ascend & Drive to Lake Manyara: After lunch, ascend the crater and drive to Lake Manyara National Park (about 1.5–2 hours).
  • Evening Game Drive in Lake Manyara: Explore the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, birdlife, and large herds of elephants.
  • Overnight: Stay at a lodge or tented camp near Lake Manyara.

Full Day in Lake Manyara National Park & Transfer to Arusha

  • Morning Game Drive: Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara. The park is known for its birdlife, including flamingos and pelicans, as well as its diverse habitats that include savannah, forest, and lakeshore.
  • Brunch: Return to your lodge for brunch, then relax or enjoy a leisurely afternoon.
  • Cultural Experience: Optionally, you can visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about the traditional way of life of the Maasai people.
  • Transfer to Arusha: After your morning activities, drive to Arusha (approximately 2–3 hours).
  • Overnight: Stay at a hotel in Arusha for the night.

Transfer to Maasai Mara (Kenya)

  • Breakfast & Departure: Early morning, depart Arusha for your Maasai Mara adventure. You can fly to Maasai Mara Airstrip from Arusha (about 1-hour flight) or take a 5–6-hour drive if you prefer overland travel.
  • Arrive in Maasai Mara: Upon arrival in Maasai Mara National Reserve (Kenya), you’ll be transferred to your lodge or camp.
  • Afternoon Game Drive in Maasai Mara: Enjoy your first game drive in the Maasai Mara, one of the most famous game reserves in Africa. The Mara is known for its big cat sightings, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as large populations of wildebeest, elephants, and buffalo.
  • Overnight: Stay at a lodge or tented camp in Maasai Mara.

Full Day in Maasai Mara & Return to Arusha

  • Morning Game Drive: Head out early for a morning game drive in the Maasai Mara. The Mara is home to the Great Migration (between July and October), but it’s also a fantastic wildlife destination year-round with a chance to see predators in action.
  • Picnic Lunch: Enjoy lunch in the park before your afternoon game drive.
  • Afternoon Game Drive: Continue exploring the Mara, discovering its diverse ecosystems, grasslands, and wildlife.
  • Return to Arusha: In the late afternoon, you’ll either fly back to Arusha or drive back (depending on your preference). If you are flying, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha.
  • End of Safari: Upon arrival in Arusha, you can be transferred to your hotel or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.

Safari Package Inclusions:

  • Transport: All safari transportation in a 4×4 safari vehicle with an English-speaking guide. If flying to Maasai Mara, internal flights are included.
  • Accommodation: 7 nights in lodges or luxury tented camps (based on your preference and budget).
  • Meals: Full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the safari.
  • Game Drives: Full game drives in Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Maasai Mara.
  • Park Fees: All entrance and conservation fees for national parks and reserves.
  • Guide: Professional and experienced safari guide with a focus on wildlife tracking and local knowledge.
  • Internal Flights: (if applicable, between Arusha and Maasai Mara).

Exclusions:

  • International Flights: Flights to and from Tanzania/Kenya.
  • Personal Expenses: Souvenirs, laundry, and other personal items.
  • Optional Activities: Hot air balloon rides, Maasai village visits, etc.
  • Tips & Gratuities: For your guide, camp staff, and other service providers.
  • Alcoholic Beverages: Unless specified.
